Auralic has developed its own converter, the Fusion DAC, integrating the best features of R2R and Delta-Sigma DACs to deliver exceptional performance. This unique approach allows for custom features to be incorporated directly into the DAC chip, such as clock signal reconstruction, digital filtering, and oversampling. DDR (Direct Data Retrieval) technology eliminates the traditional PLL circuit to record audio data directly into the system memory, ensuring precise signal transmission.

The internally developed 64-bit Tesla G3 platform by Auralic manages the most demanding tasks, offering advanced features such as Dirac acoustic correction and PCM oversampling up to 32 bits / 768 kHz. The Vega S1 also benefits from dual linear power supplies for optimal performance.

The integrated preamplifier, derived from the flagship Vega G2.2 model, provides pure and distortion-free amplification. The sleek design in solid aluminum and plexiglass houses intuitive control buttons, while the connections include USB, RCA, and XLR outputs, as well as digital inputs for expanded connectivity.

The Lightning DS control app, compatible with iOS and Android, allows for full customization and offers a multitude of features, including acoustic correction with Dirac. Integration with Roon and online music services further enriches the listening experience.
