A SENSORY EXPERIENCE

Designed with timelessness and durability in mind, every part of the 105 AER is made from top-quality materials: cast zinc alloy with PVD coating, manganese-stamped steel headband, ABS-PC earpads, velvet ear cushions and a soft PU leather headband. 
Combined with our high ergonomic standards, the 105 AER is not only extremely robust, but is also our lightest open-back model to date.

DRIVER DESIGN
The design of our 50mm dynamic drivers has proven to be remarkably reliable and versatile. To keep the 105 AER as accessible as possible, the driver's diaphragm and chassis have undergone slight modifications. We've taken this opportunity to make the 105 AER sound different, so that it's perfectly at home with all musical genres.


W-shaped dome
Made from carbon fibre-reinforced cellulose, the transducer dome is able to reproduce high frequencies with incredible definition, dynamics, detail and fidelity. Far more durable and lightweight than the usual alternatives used in conventional dynamic drivers, this composite material helps to reduce harmful resonances that can lead to distortion.

Extremely thin membrane
The membrane surrounding the dome is made of PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), a semi-crystalline polymer with excellent mechanical properties. PEEK's high tensile strength and rigidity enable the driver to retain its structural integrity even when subjected to high stress, while its light weight means it responds more quickly to audio signals. The emphasis is therefore on dynamics and detail, bringing every note and musical nuance to life. Finally, PEEK has excellent anti-vibration properties, reducing uncontrolled resonance and vibration.
Strength and rigidity are also enhanced by the ridges on the diaphragm, precisely positioned at a 45.5° angle.


Stabilised
The copper/zinc alloy stabiliser positioned around the diaphragm improves vibration absorption, further reducing distortion.

Designed by one of our very talented acoustic engineers, the 105 AER delivers an exceptionally rich sound experience. The sound is full and refined, full and slightly warm to envelop you. A slight emphasis on the lower end of the sound spectrum provides a wider, more established and deeper soundstage, enhancing the sense of immersion in the music. 
What's more, 105 AER is extremely easy to power, equally at home with a simple portable source or a very high-end sedentary system.
Comfortable ear cushions
Velvet ear cushions surround your ear, providing optimum passive isolation from the surrounding world for natural, relaxed sound reproduction. Velvet is much softer and more breathable than leather, so you can keep the headphones on your head even during very long listening sessions.


 

Ideal for everyday use
The self-adjusting headband ensures that the weight of the headphones is ideally distributed on the skull, whatever its size or shape.
