    The brand-new ARIES G1 Streaming Transporter from AURALiC carries on the ARIES tradition of skillfully managing the connections between various sources of high resolution digital music and the rest of your hi-fi system. ARIES G1 streams high-resolution digital music from local network locations, attached USB storage, Internet streaming sources like TIDAL, Qobuz, and Spotify, and Internet Radio — delivering all of it to your current setup over Wi-Fi. 

    Being based on the DNA of AURALiC’s original ARIES means that the new ARIES G1 benefits from all the features and functionality of Lightning Streaming — the infrastructure that AURALiC developed for its streaming products. On-Device Playlists, Memory Caching, Gapless Playback and Bit-Perfect Multi-Room functionality are all standard Lightning features.

    For user control, AURALiC’s well-regarded Lightning DS iOS app serves as the system’s primary interface, so users have plenty of browsing and play-back features at their fingertips with the G1 as well.

    The unit is compatible with AirPlay and SongCast, and can function as a RoonReady endpoint. Setup and configuration changes are easier than ever with a recently added, universally accessible web admin. 

    This upgrade of the original ARIES wouldn’t be possible however, without a lot of tech borrowed from AURALiC’s premium G2 line, and that means a serious boost in performance and functionality.

    The new version supports streaming resolutions up to DSD512 and PCM 32bit/384K over a home Wi-Fi network for example, and the processing heart of this year’s G1 is in fact the same as what’s found in the top-of-the-line model ARIES G2 from last year.

    That means the Tesla G2 platform with its processor that’s 50% faster than the older ARIES had, supported by twice the system memory (2GB) and data storage (8GB), and a giant 1GB memory cache. 

    Outside, things also bear a similarity to AURALiC’s premium product line, with the AR-IES G1 shipping in a chassis that’s inherited its design aesthetics from the G2’s sleek Unity Chassis.

    The anodized black aluminum enclosure is updated with front panel buttons for easy navigation — or just use the Smart-IR function to assign control to any remote. That front panel borrows the G2’s 4.0-inch true color retina resolution display as well, and inside the G1 you’ll find dual Purer-Power linear power supplies just like in the G2, separating and isolating the processing circuit from the digital audio circuit for less noise and better sound.

    Carbon-Based 3-Layer Noise-Dissipation System (NDS)

    It's easy to accomplish 100% shield coverage. Preventing captured Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) from modulating the equipment's ground reference requires AQ's Noise-Dissipation System (NDS). Traditional shield systems typically absorb and then drain noise/RF energy to component ground, modulating and distorting the critical "reference" ground plane, which in turn causes a distortion of the signal. NDS's alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics "shield the shield," absorbing and reflecting most of this noise/RF energy before it reaches the layer attached to ground.

    Hard-Cell Foam Insulation

    Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Hard-Cell Foam Insulation is similar to the Foamed-PE used in our more affordable Bridges & Falls cables, and is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Because nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release any energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. In addition, the stiffness of the material allows the cable's conductors to maintain a stable relationship along the cable's full length, producing a stable impedance character and further minimizing distortion.

    Dielectric-Bias System with Radio Frequency Trap

    All insulation between two or more conductors is also a dielectric whose properties will affect the integrity of the signal. When the dielectric is unbiased, dielectric-involvement (absorption and non-linear release of energy) causes different amounts of time delay (phase shift) for different frequencies and energy levels, which is a real problem for very time-sensitive multi-octave audio. The inclusion of an RF Trap (developed for AudioQuest’s Niagara Series of power products), ensures that radio-frequency noise will not be induced into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements.           2)  Flexible Carbon/Graphene PLUS (FCG+) - same construction as above but this one uses graphene treatment along the whole length. This is our best interconnect.

    Acoustic Revive LAN-1.0PA is a real audio grade LAN cable which has been developed by Acoustic Revive using their own cable technology.

    ACOUSTIC REVIVE have chosen once again to use the Single Core Cable PCOCC-A technology, as well as a newly developed conductor material, insulator, shield and plug for this LAN cable.

    LAN cables which are currently being used for audio are the typical LAN cables you would find on equipment such as Fax machines, printers, computers and so on which use the most basic materials and use shielding such as magnesium or electromagnetic wave absorbers.

    Here however, PCOCC-A single core conductor with annealed PCOCC and its much improved conductivity is employed in the Acoustic Revive LAN-1.0PA.

    Acoustic Revive have adopted fluorocarbon resin, the reason for this is that it has low permittivity to the insulator. Copper foil has been chosen for the shield. Copper foil does not affect tonal qualities, unlike aluminum foil and other special materials do. It also displays a superior shielding ability for the complete sound spectrum.

    In addition, the LAN -1.0PA terminal is plated with gold, and static electricity is removed by the special mold which has also been treated with a tourmaline impregnating resin.

    The end result we believe, will be worth all of the effort we have put in to the design of this new LAN cable, a cable for those who demand the best.

    A Network Cable? Seriously?

    Sounds crazy, right? Bits are bits (and indeed they are!) and so on. But the plain fact is that that they really do make a difference if you listen to your ears (and yes, it's trivially easy to pick the difference between a standard network cable and a Black Magic.

    This time we are not doing anything heretical. It's all about high performance and low noise.

    We auditioned many different cables and plugs and came to some interesting conclusions. We don't use the same plug that you see on many high-end network cables, because we think the ones we use sounds better!

    The cable is a solid core design, intended for ultra-high-speed communications. This leads to it being much stiffer than a regular network cable, but still bendable. If you need to plug into something light like a router, you may need to put a brick on top..

    On top of the best sounding plug/cable combo we could find, we've added a touch of graphene and some of our own magic, resulting in a cable that is very musical compared to a regular network cable.
